Andy Sutton - Why Unify and why I know what I’m talking about.
I spent 16 years in the NHL across 7 different teams and loved every moment.

I studied Engineering at school while on scholarship at Michigan Tech University and used that knowledge to create patents and IP in the protective space.
I actively licensed the IP’s and became immersed in product development, branding, marketing/sales, e-commerce and customer service.

During this time I worked as President of a multi brand hockey company, only to leave this position after 5 years and taking the Verbero brand with me.
I solely and deeply immersed myself in every aspect of the Verbero rebrand and relaunch, positioning Verbero as the most comprehensive equipment and apparel operating system in the industry.

Verbero specializes in all things branded as well as plugging in robust operating systems for teams and associations all over the world.
Because of this intimate access, I was constantly asked how we could assist with an online system to Unify every facet of the hockey business in one, streamlined, user friendly and cost effective location.

Our Story

Andy Sutton didn’t just play in the NHL for 16 seasons—he lived every layer of the game. Over 700 NHL games, 7 teams, countless blocked shots, and a career built on grit and systems thinking. Off the ice, he became the parent juggling registrations at 11 p.m., the coach chasing payments, the manager stitching together five different apps, the board member fixing broken websites, and the volunteer who still couldn’t get accurate rosters to print.

He saw the same chaos everywhere—from the local rink to the top-tier academies he still advises.
